Attention fellow skin rasher sufferer!!

Hi there!

My name is Jennifer Fugo. First and foremost, I’m a patient and (now) eczema thriver! I also am a clinical nutritionist, author, and speaker.

Like you, my life really took a beating for the three years that I suffered from severe eczema…

I started to become really depressed because I couldn’t do simple daily tasks anymore or go to the gym. Gardening became impossible, and showering… well, I couldn’t find any gloves that would keep the water off my hands so I had to limit their frequency.

I literally got to the point where I couldn’t touch anything… not even water.

The skin on my hands looked (and felt) so awful, and the tissue itself became so inflamed that I could no longer wear my wedding ring.

…assuming that I was dirty or didn’t know basic hygiene… or worse yet, infected with something contagious that they could catch.

After giving the conventional dermatologist route a try, I quickly realized that nothing she suggested was going to help.

Steroids only got me so far and stopping them would often cause things to flare worse (aka. rebounding).

Plus it was thinning my skin so once the cold weather hit, my hands felt like I had a thousand paper cuts.

She said there was nothing more I could do diet-wise, and if I didn’t see relief with a few different topical medications, we might want to consider something stronger like a immunosuppressant that could probably clear it up.

While I certainly wanted the itching, redness, burning, and pain to stop…

Finally in 2016, I made up my mind that I was going to look at my worsening eczema through the lens of integrative medicine.

I knew that there had to be something UNDERLYING the rashes.

That if the rashes, itching, burning, swelling, redness, oozing, and pain were just symptoms, rather than the problem itself, then maybe there was a way to stop them.

So I dove into research, textbooks, and patient accounts from those who had actually healed. I spoke with the top minds in functional medicine who have great success treating chronic skin conditions, and I then began to address my own skin through trial and error.

You’d probably never know from looking at my hands today that I had severe eczema. The skin was able to rebuild so that it is again smooth, clear, and calm.

I didn’t have thousands of dollars or do experimental treatments. I took the information I’d learned and applied it, each day taking consistent steps. And with time, it paid off in spades!

And as a clinical nutritionist, I’ve then successfully applied these same principles to my clients who also have similar chronic skin rash complaints.
